A London mother of a missing London schoolboy says she has lost faith in authorities after they failed to find her son’s body.
Sylvia Dufour was shocked to learn her son, 14-year-old Christopher Dufours, was found dead in a London park on Saturday.
He went missing at school last month.
Christopher’s parents were notified about his disappearance at 1:30 a.m. on Friday, but they were not notified about the body being found until Sunday morning.
“My son’s death was not announced,” Dufous told CNN affiliate WGBH.
“The body was found two days later, so the family was not notified for the past two days.”
The boy’s family, who live in the U.K., had not been notified about Christopher’s death until Sunday, WGBN reported.””
And then the police arrived and they did not come to our house to collect Christopher.”
The boy’s family, who live in the U.K., had not been notified about Christopher’s death until Sunday, WGBN reported.
“They said there was a body in the woods.
I said, ‘What is that?’ and they said it was a dog,” Dafours said.
The boy was described as being in good physical condition.
His family told WGBF that Christopher had been bullied at school, but did not elaborate.
Christopher Dufouts mother says she doesn’t know where her son went missing and is struggling to understand how police have not been able to locate him.
“I’m still in shock,” Dukursaid.
“I just don’t know.
We don’t have any answers.”
Christopher Dafouts family released a statement Sunday night, saying they were saddened to learn that Christopher’s body was not found.
The statement reads, “It’s not my son.
We have never spoken to him, and there are no photographs or any videos of him.”
The family said they are devastated that Christopher did not survive the attack.
